The existing building at the Schlossplatz in Stuttgart was built in the years 1950 to 1956 in the style of the "Stuttgart School" as a pure bank building. The strong building structure represents self-confidence; the functional stone façades strengthen the impression of solidity. The bank's need for security is met by only one architecturally formulated entrance and the wrought iron grids in front of the ground floor windows. Arcades and window framing were executed in solid work pieces of Gauing travertine.
